Ethan & Maxine

Die Woud – Caledon

Die Woud, nestled in the heart of nature, had always been on my on-the-day wedding coordination bucket list. When Ethan and Maxine approached me to assist with their wedding at this enchanting venue, it felt like a dream come true.

As fate would have it, the weather decided to present its own challenge with rain pouring down in bucket loads. Undeterred, the couple and their guests embraced the unexpected turn of events. The ceremony, originally planned for an outdoor spectacle, gracefully transitioned into the intimate embrace of the glass house. The raindrops on the glass became a poetic backdrop, emphasizing the resilience of love against the elements.

The flowers and decor were stylish, colourful, and abundant, creating a joyful atmosphere. They made so much effort with personal DIY touches like their table seating chart which was a bookshelf with guests’ names on wine bottles. The guest name cards on the table placement were broken terracotta pots with each name handwritten in white pen. A key chain for each guest and crochet bookmarks.

I was touched by an overwhelming feeling of community, love, and appreciation between family and friends. It was special to be part of Ethan and Maxine’s wedding.
