Jack & Carnia

Die Woud – Caledon

It was a warm summer’s day at Die Woud, perfect for an outdoor ceremony under the trees. Jack and Carnia’s wedding felt heartfelt and relaxed, surrounded by their friends, family and church community. Working with the Die Woud team is always a smooth experience—they are consistently professional and helpful, which makes coordination effortless.

I loved the décor they chose. It was simple but full of small, meaningful details, with recycled jars holding a mix of flowers arranged by family. The collaborative effort made the setup feel personal, and the overall look was beautiful. Their wedding cake stood out too—elegant with a touch of rustic charm thanks to the oversized blooms.

One moment I’ll never forget happened between the ceremony and the reception. A family member’s car had unknowingly blocked the pathway the sound technician needed to get through. I managed to locate the owner, took the keys, and because it was the same model my dad drives (thank goodness!), I knew how to manoeuvre it out of the way.

For canapés, they chose something a bit different: pizzas fresh from the oven. It was a fun touch, and guests really seemed to enjoy it while spending the afternoon playing games, chatting and soaking up the atmosphere.

Their sunset shoot was a highlight—the light was soft, warm and absolutely perfect.

Jack and Carnia’s day was a lovely celebration to coordinate, filled with calm moments, happy faces and a lot of joy.
