Landtscap – Stellenbosch
When I think of Lisa and Christo, I just want to start typing in Afrikaans. The best words to describe them are “plat-op-die-aarde”, “lekker mense!” It was such a treat to do their wedding; they were amazing and so easy-going, even when the weather threw a few curveballs their way.
They got married in the summer, but the sunny weather that one would normally associate with this time of year decided that it would give way to a rainy, winter’s day instead. Luckily, the groom kept a close eye on the weather conditions and organised a tent the day before the wedding, just in case some cover from the rain would be needed on the deck. Thank goodness for his quick-thinking, as it was pouring with rain all through the ceremony. It was such an awesome experience working with the Landtscap team, as in just a few minutes they managed to transform the deck after the ceremony into the pre-drinks area!
The rain did not put a damper on the joyous atmosphere. It was a beautiful wedding filled with much laughter. One could clearly see that their friends and family share a deep appreciation for each other and that they love each other dearly.
Lisa added special little touches to their day, such as the personalised vinyl sticker on the dance floor, a cake topper, a remembrance table and a dessert table, with little boxes in which guest could take treats home in. I liked the velvet mustard serviettes, the soft grey table runners and the beautiful white and yellow tulips. Her bridesmaids also looked stunning in their yellow dresses.
