Brenaissance – Stellenbosch
In the middle of winter on the beautiful wine farm Brenaissance, Brandon and Carmen said their “I dos”. The on-the-day coordination was such a pleasure and I had the privilege to work with amazing people. The rain made things interesting, but we were so grateful when it settled just in time for the bridesmaids and bride to walk into the chapel. The colours of the wedding were soft hues of pink, white and green, and pops of silver and gold. Every detail was so well planned by the bride and it looked stunning! The bridesmaids looked beautiful in their long soft pink dresses and were complemented so well by the dusky blue suits of the groomsman. Carmen looked breath-taking in a dress that fitted her like a glove. The team from To-Netts did a great job with the table décor and flowers, and the combination of greenery, proteas, and pink and white roses looked beautiful on the tables. The arch at the front of the chapel was so striking and stylish – it was even used in the couple shoot!
Pre-drinks took place in the courtyard, with the Brothers inc playing live music, and guests could enjoy gin and tuck into the most amazing bread and cheese table. In fact, the table was so heavily laden, that we had to relocate the table so that the guests could continue helping themselves throughout the evening. Their guestbook was really special; the guests were asked to take photos with a cute Instapix camera, stick it in the book and write a message. Carmen also made a great effort with the coffee and tea station, with jars filled with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and marshmallows, and the paper cups even said “Thanks a latte” –a tiny little detail that told you exactly how kind and sweet this couple is.
The waitstaff was provided by Urban Tonic and it was a lovely team to work with. Two Chefs did the main course and dessert table, which looked as delicious as it tasted. All in all, the wedding was an incredibly enjoyable celebration – so much so that they even extended the party! All these moments were captured by the lovely and very creative couple behind Lilac Photography. Enjoy the photos!
